Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is seeking a Property Underwriter in Alpharetta to join the North American Retail Property Team. Lead large global programs and manage mid-market to Fortune 500 accounts with up to USD 500 million limits. Hybrid work and travel up to 20% are expected.

The role requires experience in property underwriting, strong broker/client networks, and ability to lead projects and mentor junior underwriters. Knowledge of Nat Cat and international programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of insurance, commercial property underwriting, and the property insurance market for the Southeast region.
• Minimum 2-5+ years underwriting experience in property underwriting of medium to large corporates, including lead capacity.
• Experience with international programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle large global structured programs and 100% single-carrier accounts (ground-up property programs).
• Manage accounts from Middle/Upper Middle Market to Fortune 500 with limits up to USD 500m.
• Analyze and assess insurability of exposures and coverages on submissions.
• Prepare quotations, structure programs, and offer proposals per guidelines.
• Use Swiss Re tools and systems to develop terms and conditions.
• Enter and maintain risk information in information systems and administer accounts.
• Build and maintain a book of business; market and originate prospects.
• Coach less experienced underwriters when necessary.
• Lead internal and external projects related to market/client development.
• Represent Swiss Re in meetings with clients, brokers, and Swiss Re entities.
