Job summary

Swiss Re Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Property Underwriter to join our commercial property underwriting team. You will manage portfolios, analyze Nat Cat exposures, and structure programs for global and domestic large accounts in a hybrid work model.

With 4–10+ years of underwriting experience, you will lead projects, build broker networks, and coach junior underwriters while negotiating key terms aligned with our strategy.

Qualifications

• 4-10+ years' experience as an underwriter for corporate accounts
• Experience structuring and fronting global programs (preferred)
• Knowledge of Nat Cat and man-made risk management
• Strong broker and client network in the Central US region
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage multiple deals
• Experience with diverse occupancies including heavy manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accounts including fronted global property programs
• Analyze and underwrite exposures including Natural Catastrophe hazards
• Assess insurability and exposures on new submissions and renewals
• Prepare quotations, structure programs and proposals to guidelines
• Use underwriting tools and systems for terms and conditions
• Maintain risk information in information systems and accounts
• Build and maintain broker/client relationships and lead projects
• Coach less experienced underwriters when needed
• Represent Swiss Re in client/broker meetings
• Deploy capacity and negotiate terms aligned with underwriting strategy
