Qualifications

• 10+ years of Property underwriting experience with large corporate placements.
• Deep technical expertise in General Property underwriting, risk and pricing.
• Proven leadership, recruiting and mentoring in a team environment.
• Strong broker and client relationships within the Southeast US market.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CPCU/AU considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Property Underwriters across the Southeast, ensuring underwriting quality.
• Underwrite complex large corporate property accounts to drive profitability.
• Coach and mentor underwriters; provide development opportunities.
• Recruit and retain top underwriting talent and foster a high-performing culture.
• Develop business by building broker and client relationships in the Southeast.
• Collaborate with actuarial, claims, risk engineering for holistic oversight.
• Ensure governance by adhering to underwriting policies and authorities.
• Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective actions.
• Represent Swiss Re at industry events and client meetings.
• Contribute to regional strategy with market insights.
