Job summary

Indus Communities is seeking a Property Manager in Houston to oversee end-to-end operations of a multifamily property. You will lead on-site staff, manage leases and rents, and ensure resident satisfaction while maintaining financial performance.

Responsibilities include setting performance goals, budgeting, vendor coordination, and enforcing safety standards. A valid driver's license and a minimum two years’ experience are required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of related property management experience with multi-family.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communications and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead onsite employees and manage teams.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing, health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Guides employees by setting performance/development goals and holds routine meetings.
• Partners with leadership to establish rental rates by market survey and competition.
• Advertises vacancies and secures referrals; shows units as needed.
• Reviews and approves leases; collects security deposits.
• Manages finances: collects rents, forecasts expenses, schedules expenditures.
• Maintains properties by addressing resident complaints and enforcing occupancy rules and safety.
• Inspects vacant units and coordinates make-readies.
• Oversees property systems and maintenance services; supervises repairs.
• Coordinates with security and responds to emergencies; ensures resident retention.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
