Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Project Manager - Transmission Line to lead supervision and coordination of electric utility construction projects.

You will ensure safety, budget, schedule, and quality while interfacing with owners, unions, and field crews. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in project management within utility construction, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage multiple projects across large geographies.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities in a management role.
• Experience managing project financials in utility construction.
• Knowledge of utility construction practices and safety standards.
• Experience with union jurisdiction and labor agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day oversight of safety management system.
• Oversee construction activity to meet design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with owner/client and on-site crews to ensure safety and milestones.
• Apply project management standards and PCRS reporting.
• Prepare proposals and estimates, including take-offs.
• Forecast and report project profitability and manage budgets.
• Coordinate job setup with safety, scheduling, document control, and cost codes.
• Plan resources to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Interface with client representatives, unions, and subcontractors.
• Provide weekly project updates to senior management.
• Process change orders and manage field resource needs.
