Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate electric utility construction projects from pre-planning through construction administration.

You’ll supervise field teams, manage budgets and schedules, and work with owners, unions, and subcontractors to deliver safe, on-time results. Ideal candidates bring 4–7 years in utility construction project management, strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills, plus a BS/BA in a related field.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proven leadership capabilities in a management role.
• Experience managing project financials and budgets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects across regions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety management system and daily project activities.
• Direct construction management to meet design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives and on-site crews.
• Apply project management standards and PCRS reporting.
• Prepare proposals, estimates and change orders as needed.
• Monitor project profitability and manage costs and resources.
• Coordinate material orders, submittals and billing.
• Travel regionally and stay overnight as required.
