Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago is seeking a Project Manager to lead multi-discipline engineering programs from inception to completion, overseeing safety, quality, schedule, cost, contracts, and client relations.

You will build diverse teams, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and drive successful delivery across EPC, construction, and program management projects while upholding stringent safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited program.
• 7+ years of applicable experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work overtime on short notice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, environmental compliance, and project controls.
• Establish project teams, coordinate multiple disciplines, and optimize staff utilization.
• Manage all aspects of project communication.
• Lead RFP development, bid processes, and scope documents.
• Develop and monitor schedules, control scope and costs.
