Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead EPC and Design-Build projects in the electric utility sector, including transmission lines, substations, and distribution infrastructure. You will oversee safety, schedule, budget, and quality across the full project lifecycle.

Working with engineering, procurement, construction and field teams, you will mentor site managers, drive risk mitigation, and ensure strong client interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the construction management team and promote safety, planning, and execution.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve construction management processes and reporting tools.
• Conduct regular site visits to observe progress and document safety, quality, and constructability observations.
• Coordinate kickoff, construction, and project coordination meetings and support pre-construction planning.
• Negotiate contracts, manage risk reviews, and oversee project cost development and scheduling.
