Job summary

Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring all technical efforts are delivered on time and within budget. You will collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and customers, contributing to proposal development and project planning.

The role requires broad engineering knowledge and leadership to guide multi-disciplinary teams, with U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines to lead engineers on the project team.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget.
Ensure design compliance with all project requirements.
Review customer specifications and lead a team to develop designs with cost as a variable.
Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments.
Communicate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer.
Participate in preparation of complex proposals.
Coordinate with management and technical staff to advance technical activities.
