Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Project Engineering Team in Danbury, CT. You will contribute to projects from planning through completion, coordinating technical activities, tracking requirements and deliverables, and collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include supporting project engineers, maintaining schedules and budgets, reviewing customer specs, and participating in design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Experience in project engineering, project management, or product management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities for complex projects, work packages, or tasks.
• Track project requirements, actions, schedules, costs, risks, and deliverables.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and requirements to support design development and planning.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project plans, task estimates, schedules, and budget inputs.
• Participate in design reviews to verify designs meet requirements (customer, technical, cost, schedule).
• Contribute to proposals with technical inputs, estimates, and schedules.
• Coordinate actions with team to keep engineering work moving on schedule.
• Prepare project meeting materials and status updates.
• Participate in meetings with customers, engineering, program, and business teams.
• Identify technical, cost, schedule, or resource concerns and elevate them appropriately.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality products on time and develop leadership for smaller projects.
