Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced project engineering leader to guide technical execution on complex multi-discipline projects.

You will partner with the Project Manager to manage cost, schedule, scope changes, and client satisfaction, lead engineering teams, ensure QA/QC, and coordinate with clients and suppliers while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering and project management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership of a project and support the Project Manager on cost, schedule and client satisfaction.
• Inform PM of technical issues, decisions, and risks on the project.
• Coordinate with Client on technical design issues and with PM/discipline leads on execution.
• Manage engineering budgets and schedule, and document scope changes.
• Prepare weekly/monthly engineering status reports and forecast resources.
• Ensure timely completion of multi-discipline deliverables such as Line List, Equipment List, P&ID updates, and GA drawings.
