Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Project Architect to manage design development, construction documents, and specifications for diverse projects. You will oversee drawing production, mentor team members on design strategies, and ensure quality control across all project phases.

The role requires a licensed architect with 10+ years of experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office, and a solid grasp of building codes. Collaboration with PMs and consultants is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with strong experience in design development and production of construction documents.
• 10+ years of architecture experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for contract drawings from start to finish.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to project schedules and deadlines.
• Manage clash resolution for complex project types.
• Provide construction administration services including site visits and shop drawing reviews.
• Perform local, state, and federal code searches and analysis.
• Represent Ware Malcomb at design review and approval meetings as needed.
• Review contract documents with QC/peer reviewers before issuance.
• Assist in assembling consultant team and coordinating with client’s consultants.
• Coordinate trades with contracted consultants to complete contract documents and specs for permits and construction.
