Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to oversee an interdisciplinary program for adults with mental health needs. You will supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, coordinate meetings, and ensure services align with DMH standards and funding goals.

The role supports the Full Service Partnership program, partners with the Asst. Director on recruiting and training, and helps manage budgets while promoting a collaborative, client-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a nonprofit social service agency serving members.
• Strong facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships.
• Experience with budgeting and data/reporting is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Coordinate staff meetings and case conferences.
• Support staff training and team-building.
• Ensure services meet DMH and program standards.
• Oversee budget and billing goals.
