Job summary

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a Program Coordinator for the LEAD initiative in Chelan and Douglas counties. The role engages courts, law enforcement, attorneys, and behavioral health partners to connect individuals with severe behavioral health disorders to resources and steer them away from the criminal system.

The position emphasizes collaboration, training, and safety, with a focus on harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and community education to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science field required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing behavioral health treatment, facilitating treatment, care coordination, or related work.
• Experience facilitating meetings, trainings, or consultations preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of local homeless services and housing systems preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with community and human services dynamics and public safety/order issues in local communities required.
• Demonstrated interest in criminal justice, homelessness, and/or drug policy reform with a racial justice analysis.
• Understanding of LEAD core principles and ability to train others in harm reduction-based social work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer competency.
• Knowledge of the diversion system and related procedures; experience with ITA evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Engagement and coordination with LEAD community partners; biweekly OWG meetings.
• Coordinate LEAD implementation within Chelan and Douglas County as directed by the PCG.
• Design, conduct, and oversee LEAD training on core principles and related topics.
• Collaborate with jail, attorneys, law enforcement, housing providers, and behavioral health providers.
• Model and promote teamwork, dignity, and respect among staff.
• Monitor staff efforts and ensure safe, coordinated care for individuals with serious mental illness.
• Create structures and processes to connect social services to high-need individuals.
