Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a salary-exempt Production Supervisor to lead an assigned production team in our Fort Smith, AR facility.

You will drive productivity, ensure safety, and maintain quality across processing, packaging, and storage operations in line with FDA/USDA and Simmons policies. The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination with HR, Safety, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to meet daily targets while upholding Lean principles and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related work experience with a minimum of 1 year experience in a leading role included in the 4 years related work experience
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource management, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
• Must be familiar with computers and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Industry Experience: Preferred experience within a food processing organization

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of front-line employees. Effectively communicates with and motivates employees in order to drive productivity and achieve company goals.
• Supervises employees to maintain discipline, teamwork, and safety so that daily production requirements are met.
• Responsible for scheduling, tracking attendance, and reviewing and approving time off for their direct reports.
• Responsible for work effort and appraisal of personnel.
• Develops and coordinates activities between departments to meet production goals.
• Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients and supplies to meet delivery schedules.
• Interprets and manages production reports to ensure throughput and line efficiency.
• Promotes a safe work environment and compliance with all safety regulations.
