Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Production/Processing Lead to assist the supervisor in meeting production requirements in Fort Smith, AR. The role includes mentoring new team members, coordinating with QA and USDA, and ensuring line readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes basic math, reading, writing, and computer knowledge; must communicate well in English.
• Bilingual ability is preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain forklift and pallet jack license if required.

Responsibilities

• Orientate new team members to their jobs and mentor them.
• Communicate with team members, supervisors, management, QA and USDA about line information.
• Complete required written and electronic reports; assist with timekeeping for line staff.
• Set up line equipment daily for start-up; ensure standards and quality are met and monitor belt speeds.
• Strive to meet daily goals and improve morale; maintain USDA compliance and team cohesiveness.
