Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA, Inc. is seeking a production supervisor to lead and monitor plant staff, ensuring efficient production, product quality, and safety. The role involves training, scheduling, and coordinating multiple departments to meet daily production targets.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a food packaging setting, strong English communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Flexibility to work weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience in a food packaging environment preferred.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
• Ability to follow Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures and report deficiencies.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English.
• Strong organization and leadership abilities to work across functions.
• Ability to manage cost containment and budgetary principles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize plant productivity.
• Ensure procedures for production efficiency, product quality and employee safety are followed.
• Inspect products for specifications and adjust machines as needed.
• Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements.
• Complete production and sanitation paperwork and reports.
• Train employees on production and safety procedures and monitor performance.
• Suggest improvements to methods, equipment and product quality.
• Maintain time and production records and coordinate with other supervisors.
