Smithfield Foods in Kentucky seeks a Production Supervisor to lead front-line operations on the shift. You’ll oversee the full production process, monitor yields, and ensure safety and USDA standards while maintaining product quality across Smithfield brands.

You’ll coach hourly staff, run monthly line meetings, set up equipment, and drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and costs. The role requires flexibility, the ability to work long hours and weekends, and occasional travel up to 5%

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of production supervision experience.
• Experience leading training, coaching or mentoring staff.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Safety and Compliance: perform daily inspections, lead safety audits, ensure HACCP and USDA adherence.
• Product Quality and Training: enforce Food Safety and Food Quality plans, train on SOPs including lock-out/tag-out.
• Operational Efficiency: track yields, efficiencies, variances, and work with Ops to improve workflows and reduce downtime and costs.
• Team Leadership and Communication: guide hourly staff, lead monthly line meetings, walk the floor daily.
• Continuous Improvement: analyze metrics and suggest changes to improve efficiency and quality.
