Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead frontline operations in Indiana. You will oversee daily production, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive performance across shifts.

You will coach and train hourly employees, manage workflow, monitor yields and costs, and partner with Operations Managers to keep lines running smoothly. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; 2+ years leading teams in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and math abilities for process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production on the shift, ensuring targets, safety, and quality are met.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of hourly staff.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA regulations, and food safety plans.
• Monitor yields, efficiency, and costs; adjust processes to reduce downtime.
• Communicate goals and results through monthly line meetings and floor presence.
