Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. in Houston seeks an experienced supervisory professional to lead a direct labor team in a heavy mechanical manufacturing environment.

You will supervise, plan resources, hire and train staff, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on complex pump, piping, and skid-based systems. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and project management to meet project specs, manage budgets, and implement standard work procedures.

Qualifications

• Heavy mechanical background with pumps, motors, piping, valves, skid-based units, instrumentation.
• Must read and interpret P&ID, ISO and engineering assembly drawings.
• Must be able to perform shop math.
• 7–10 years technical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises direct labor staff and reviews performance.
• Plans resources based on backlog and forecasted workload.
• Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff; fosters teamwork.
• Ensures projects are completed within budget and schedule while meeting quality.
• Maintains safe work practices and updates safety policies.
• Develops and implements standard work procedures to improve productivity.
