Job summary

You will collaborate with engineering, purchasing, operations, quality, and project management to keep cost, schedule, and quality on target while upholding safety standards.

You will develop staff, implement standard work, and drive continuous improvements across a busy, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Heavy mechanical background with pumps, motors, process piping, valves, skid-based units, process skids, instrumentation.
• Must read and interpret P&ID, ISO, and engineering assembly drawings.
• 7–10 years technical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervises work team in planning and execution of a wide variety of assembly activities.
• Plans resource requirements based on backlog and forecasted workload.
• Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively.
• Fosters teamwork within the department and addresses performance issues timely.
• Coordinates with engineering, purchasing, operations project engineers, quality, and project managers to meet requirements.
• Ensures projects are completed within budgeted cost and schedule while meeting quality requirements.
• Ensures redline and as-built drawing processes are adhered to.
• Establishes unit objectives and standards; maintains quality, schedule, and cost metrics.
• Ensures safety and quality in material movement; enforces Lock-out Tag-out and EHS programs.
• Develops standard work procedures and training curricula; trains employees on new methods.
• Monitors and approves department budgets and capital expenditures.
