Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer in the CX Intelligence group. You will design and deliver production ML systems powering Help Center and customer support runtimes, applying LLMs and advanced analytics to improve resolution, automation, safety, and user experience.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to define roadmaps, lead end-to-end ML projects, and mentor engineers while ensuring secure, observable, scalable systems with measurable improvements in workflow

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building production ML systems and data platforms.
• Hands-on with LLMs, deep learning, NLP, or related ML techniques.
• Strong Python skills and production-grade code quality.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
• Responsible AI practice with measurable impact on workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of production ML systems.
• Partner with leadership to define strategic roadmaps and quarterly plans.
• Lead ML projects end-to-end from architecture to production.
• Build secure, scalable ML systems and data pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and establish team-wide standards.
