Job summary

Swagelok Northern California is seeking a Production Floor Supervisor to lead site production activities, focusing on safety, cost, quality, and on‑time delivery. You will report to the Operations Manager and guide associates to meet production schedules and standards.

This on‑site role requires Lean management, staffing planning, daily huddles, and cross‑functional collaboration. Overtime and occasional shift variations may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
• 3 years hands‑on experience in a mechanical or hose assembly position
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, MRP systems, report generation)

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean Daily Management System cadence to achieve operational excellence
• Establish metrics and goals visible to the production team
• Execute production tasks based on daily, weekly, and monthly metrics
• Oversee production workload schedule and assign work accordingly
• Develop and execute staffing and scheduling plans (daily/weekly/monthly) using CAP and Load data
• Supervise daily escalation and problem solving with support resources
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration for operational effectiveness, quality, and continuous improvement
• Address and resolve associate needs related to Assembly Services
• Develop plans to address skill gaps within the workforce
• Conduct daily Assembly Services Production group huddles
• Align activities to company vision and goals
• Collaborate with all relevant departments to ensure quality and innovation
• Drive culture of Quality & Continuous Improvement
• Adhere to Quality plan and standard work discipline
• Ensure processes are updated to meet SQS-D quality requirements
• Engage associates in waste reduction and Kaizen events
• Ensure equipment maintenance records are kept
• Interview, hire, onboard, and train new associates
• Lead, coach, and mentor associates for growth
• Maintain professional relationships through communication and trust
• Translate goals to associates to enable alignment
• Resolve conflicts using appropriate channels
• Oversee daily department operations and ensure alignment with financial and procurement processes
• Conduct regular performance conversations and provide feedback
• Support training and development opportunities
• Maintain fair application of policies
• Document performance concerns and escalate when needed
• Manage associate administration including payroll coordination and safety practices
