Qualifications

• Experience in rail industry with focus on light or heavy rail production.
• Proficient in SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean, OSHA Safety, or Professional Engineering License.
• Hands-on experience in customer service, maintenance, or aftermarket businesses within rail.
• Lean methods and tools including 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan production operations, define workflows, establish priorities, and sequence production activities to meet objectives while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and labor-hour targets.
• Establish and adjust manpower, equipment planning, and work-order sequencing to meet evolving production demands.
• Foster open communication across the team regarding work status, performance, and process improvements.
• Lead employee development through performance management, including reviews and coaching.
• Drive production readiness and continuous improvement to minimize defects and ensure on-time shipment.
