Job summary

South Bay Solutions, Inc. is a high-precision contract manufacturing shop seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily manufacturing floor operations in California. You will lead production, coordinate with scheduling, and ensure quality and safety across all shifts.

The role requires 5+ years in a supervisory capacity within contract manufacturing, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with CNC interpretation and ERP/MRP systems is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of management or supervisory experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Manufacturing engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise manufacturing personnel on day-to-day activities.
Collaborate with master scheduler to create daily and weekly production schedules.
Manage allocation of resources to adhere to the production schedule.
Enforce quality standards; investigate and address quality issues promptly.
Communicate production priorities and changes across shifts.
Maintain production records and reports (logs, quantity, machines, non-conformances).
Monitor personnel performance and attendance.
Collaborate with Quality to resolve challenges.
Promote a culture of quality, safety and teamwork.
