Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical area of our product portfolio. You will partner with Product and Engineering to define problems worth solving and guide teams from discovery to delivery for first responders.

You’ll influence across the portfolio, contribute to the design system, and raise the team’s craft. This role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, user research, and crafting intuitive, reliable experiences across devices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience.
• 5+ years designing complex enterprise SaaS products.
• Track record leading design for a substantial product area.
• Strong product judgment across customer needs, strategy and execution.
• Deep experience with qualitative and quantitative research.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leaders.
• Excellent interaction and visual design skills and craftsmanship.
• Ability to communicate complex design decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Set design direction for a critical product area and create a clear vision for evolution.
• Lead initiatives from discovery through delivery with cross-functional partners.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities in design tradeoffs.
• Work with first responders to translate workflows into intuitive experiences.
• Design across environments and devices, considering ecosystem consistency.
• Contribute to design systems and raise overall design quality.
• Present vision or recommendations to customers and senior leaders.
• Explore AI/ML and emerging tech to improve public safety workflows.
