Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical area of the product portfolio. You will partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, set direction, and deliver thoughtful, end-to-end experiences for first responders across dispatch, records, analytics, and mobile apps.

You will work with senior leadership to advocate for users, push craft and systems thinking, and shape how our design team works while influencing across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership of shipped software
• 5+ years designing complex enterprise SaaS products or similarly sophisticated systems
• Track record leading design for a substantial product area, from discovery to shipped outcomes
• Strong product judgment across customer needs, strategy, interaction and execution
• Deep experience with qualitative and quantitative research to inform decisions
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leaders and influencing without formal authority
• Excellent interaction and visual design skills with a high bar for craftsmanship
• Ability to communicate complex design decisions clearly to customers, peers, and senior leadership
• Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity

Responsibilities

• Set the design direction for a critical product area and craft a clear, long-term vision
• Lead end-to-end initiatives from discovery through delivery in collaboration with Product and Engineering
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, business priorities, and strategy in tradeoffs
• Translate field insights from first responders into reliable, intuitive experiences
• Design across devices and environments, including in-vehicle, tablets, and mobile
• Contribute to design systems and patterns; mentor colleagues to raise quality
• Present product visions and design recommendations to customers and leaders
• Explore AI and emerging tech applications to improve public safety workflows
