Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical area of our product portfolio. You will lead cross‑functional teams from discovery through delivery, partnering with Product and Engineering to decide what problems to solve and how to solve them for public safety users.

You will shape experiences across dispatch, records, analytics, and mobile apps, raising the bar for craft, systems thinking, and design leadership while ensuring clarity in ambiguous environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership on shipped software.
• 5+ years designing complex enterprise SaaS products.
• Track record leading design for a substantial product area from discovery to shipped outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Set design direction for a critical product area with a clear vision.
• Lead discovery through delivery with research, insights, and multiple approaches.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, business priorities, and long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate problems into solutions.
• Design across environments and devices for public safety workflows.
• Raise the quality of design, contribute to design systems, and mentor others.
• Present design visions to customers and senior leaders, explaining tradeoffs.
