Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering from an accredited institution.
• 7 years of experience in a related field with focus on new product development and design.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth through new product planning, team-based development and production launch to market.
• Develop strong technical knowledge of circuit breakers and governing standards and customer requirements.
• Lead conceptual and detailed design, prototyping, validation, and documentation of product designs.
• Build prototypes and plan and execute test programs to evaluate designs.
• Design for cost-effective, defect-free manufacturing with process owners.
• Provide accurate design documentation with tolerances and Bills of Materials.
• Lead stage-gate new product development activities with required documentation and project reviews.
• Enhance margin using Six-Sigma quality tools and simulations to drive robustness.
• Secure and maintain third-party certifications.
• Participate in process improvement to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Present project activities in design reviews and coordinate with stakeholders and customers.
