Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS division in Moon Township, PA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to lead the mechanical design of intelligent circuit protection, power management products, and home energy management solutions. The role spans from concept through manufacturing launch with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of experience in design and product development of electromechanical products/systems; including ideation and new concept generation.
• Five (5) years of experience with CAD solid modeling and the ability to develop 2D drawings and assembly documentation including design intent.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and drive cross-functional new product development projects and innovations.
• Serve as the mechanical design owner; make engineering decisions based on analysis and test results.
• Create CAD solid models and perform design simulations; assist in developing product specifications.
• Provide leadership to the Mechanical Engineering team, mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Support project management and coordinate with multi-disciplined teams to meet goals.
• Engage in VOC research and competitive benchmarking; coordinate with internal and external teams.
