Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA seeks a Process Engineering Project Technical Leader to guide the development of complete water, wastewater, or waste treatment solutions. You will own the PFD and process guarantees, coordinating a team of Process Engineers to ensure the design basis and safety factors meet customer requirements.

You will balance technical risk with commercial viability, lead troubleshooting, and liaise with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering discipline; advanced degrees will be considered.
• Related experience, preferably in process engineering, with emphasis on the design/operation of water, wastewater, or waste treatment systems.
• Leadership capability: connect people, align and motivate a team, train and mentor others.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Customer-focused with ability to balance technical and commercial considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complete water, wastewater, or waste treatment solutions, including flow sheets and process parameters.
• Own the overall PFD, flow tables or mass balance, and process guarantees with engineers responsible for individual technologies.
• Set the process strategy, design basis, safety factors, and approach to meeting customer requirements.
• Coordinate Process Engineers, define deliverables, assign work, and ensure quality and schedule.
• Evaluate interactions between unit processes and their effects on others.
• Identify and manage technical risks across the solution with the project team.
• Serve as the lead technical contact for customers and internal functions.
• Troubleshoot issues using data and observations and drive solutions.
• Understand regulations and liaise with regulatory agencies as needed.
• Take accountability for project success, performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate proactively, collaborate across teams, and lead corrective actions.
• Represent Veolia’s expertise in external markets via presentations.
• Provide training and one-to-one coaching.
