Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a Process Engineering Project Technical Leader to drive complete water, wastewater, or waste treatment solutions across North America. You will lead process design, set strategy, and coordinate engineers to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

You will guide teams through PFDs, mass balances, and guarantees, manage technical risks, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering discipline; advanced degrees will be considered.
• Experience in process engineering with emphasis on design/operation of water, wastewater, or waste treatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complete water, wastewater, or waste treatment solutions, including process flow sheets, unit operations, and process parameters.
• Own the overall Process Flow Diagram (PFD), flow tables or mass balance, and process guarantees.
• Set the process strategy for the project, including design basis, safety factors, flow variation handling, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate Process Engineers, define deliverables and schedules, and ensure quality meets expectations.
• Evaluate interactions of unit processes and their effects on upstream/downstream steps.
• Identify and manage technical risks with the project team.
• Serve as the lead technical contact for customers and internal functions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues using data and observations and guide the team to solutions.
• Understand regulations and liaise with regulatory agencies as needed.
• Take accountability for project success through development, operation, and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate proactively, collaborate across teams, and lead corrective actions.
• Represent Veolia’s expertise through customer and conference presentations.
• Provide training and one-to-one coaching.
