Job summary

Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis and the Lebanon Medicines Foundry seek an experienced Principal Process Engineer to support purification of biologics, peptides, oligonucleotides, and bioconjugates, optimizing equipment and processes for GMP manufacturing startup.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive cross-functional projects, and maintain a safety-first, quality-driven mindset across the site and surrounding operations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemical engineering or related discipline with 5+ years in pharma/biotech/CMO

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assessment and support for production operations, including process knowledge, equipment support, and process optimization
• Mentor junior engineers and drive cross-functional projects
• Ensure compliance with internal Quality System requirements and cGMP standards
• Engage with HSE, QA, Tech Services, Operations, Automation, Maintenance, and Manufacturing
• Support purification of biologics, peptides, oligonucleotides, and bioconjugates
