Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking a Supervisor, Process Area Specialist to lead area-specific responsibilities in Process Engineering and Refinery Technical Services. The role ensures efficient operations, provides technical guidance, and supports process optimization across refinery units.

The candidate will oversee a four-engineer team, coordinate energy conservation efforts, and support startup activities and ROI analyses for capital upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum of three years engineering experience in a refinery environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate priorities and report progress to Department Manager.
• Maintain detailed records of process scope and engineering work.
• Organize and communicate technical service support per unit needs.
• Supervise Process Engineering to monitor unit performance and provide technical support.
• Assist in unit startups and review daily unit reports; analyze ROI for upgrades.
• Oversee catalyst and chemical performance and usage guidance.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in process scope and design.
• Supervise area team of engineers and external contract engineers as needed.
• Coordinate refinery energy conservation efforts.
