Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to support refinery safety programs within the Refining Integrity Team. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and corporate requirements while maintaining safe, reliable operations across multiple facilities.

The candidate will lead PHA, MOC, and incident investigations, act as SME for PSV and SOL programs, and drive process safety metrics, audits, and training. Travel and site-based work are expected.

Qualifications

• PSM (OSHA) and EPA RMP knowledge
• PHA methodologies and RCA
• P&ID symbols understanding
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Engineering judgment for process safety challenges
• MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Process Safety support to refinery operations and engineering teams
• Serve as LOPA Technical Authority
• Lead or facilitate PHAs, MOCs, and Incident Investigations
• Maintain monthly Process Safety metrics reporting
• Provide technical guidance and training on Process Safety initiatives
• Act as SME for PSV, SOL, PHA, MII programs
• Support PSM action item tracking and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews
• Contribute to fleetwide Process Safety communities
