Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking a Manager, Process Monitoring to oversee development and execution of monitoring capabilities, engineering support, and continuous improvement across the refining network.

You will lead a team of Process Engineers and Monitoring Engineers, drive analytics platforms, reporting frameworks, and digital transformation initiatives. Travel up to 30% is expected; a Bachelor's in engineering and 10+ years in refining are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Preferred Education: Chemical engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in refining.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops a high-performing team of Process and Monitoring Engineers.
• Oversees monitoring operations, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Directs process engineering activities to monitor asset performance and provide recommendations.
• Owns and advances enterprise process monitoring strategy, analytics, and reporting frameworks.
• Partners with refinery leadership to identify and mitigate risks across the network.
• Establishes best practices in proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.
• Coaches and mentors technical professionals to build pipeline talent.
• Manages external vendor relationships for monitoring services and technologies.
• Manages departmental goals, budgets, and performance metrics.
