Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation in Artesia, NM seeks a Supervisor, Process Area Specialist to lead area-specific engineering duties, oversee the process engineering team, and drive safe, efficient operations across refinery units.

You will guide priority setting, monitor unit performance, support startup and ROI analyses, and ensure adherence to PSM, safety, and environmental standards while coordinating vendor relationships and energy conservation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum of three years engineering experience in a refinery environment required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate priorities and report progress to the Department Manager.
• Monitor unit performance and provide technical service as needed.
• Supervise Process Engineering to support area needs and startup activities.
• Support ROI analyses and capital upgrade development.
• Oversee catalyst and chemical performance guidance and startup/usage.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and PSM compliance in scope development and designs.
• Coordinate refinery energy conservation efforts and vendor relationships.
