Tyson Foods in Center, Texas seeks a second-shift lead to assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily department duties and ensuring timely execution of instruction. You will monitor equipment, address maintenance needs, and support the debone operation while upholding Tyson policies and a safe work environment.

Job Details

This position pays $19.25/Per Hour + $ 1.00/hour Shift differential for 2nd shift.

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations of debone operation.

Job Synopsis

• Primary tasks include department set-up; ensure USDA, production and HACCP requirements are met in area.
• Assist supervisor with monitoring shoulder cuts, mechanical issues with debones and meat supply.
• Make decisions on staffing assignments based upon product flow, product mix and attendance.
• Other responsibilities include relieving line personnel as needed, fill-in for absenteeism as necessary, wash down at breaks, and insure general housekeeping.
• Fill in for Supervisor in their absence.

Requirements

• Applicant must have six months of Lead experience with single employer within the last 12 months.
• Rehire Eligibility: Prior Employee Waiting Period: Previous Tyson team members must wait 181 days from their separation date before reapplying.
• Number of Times Worked at Tyson: Eligible applicants must have worked for Tyson Foods no more than three times.
• Relocation Assistance Eligible: No Work Shift: 2ND SHIFT (United States of America).
