Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Power System Engineer to support electrification projects, including HV/EHV substations and grid interconnects. You will perform complex studies, coordinate external providers, and deliver technical reports to customers and internal teams as part of our energy transition initiatives.

Role requires 6+ years in power system studies, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 20% (internationally).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with power systems and power electronics subjects.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in network or transient studies for conventional/renewable power systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth system studies (load flow, short circuit, transient analysis) and direct/oversee 3rd party study providers.
• Integrate studies for systems with multiple AC sources (conventional, AC‑BESS, renewables).
• Produce clear reports and guidance for customers, project teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering tasks to meet project and tender requirements.
