Job summary

CesiumAstro in Denver, CO, is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead development of power architectures for high‑power space and airborne platforms. You will design DC-DC and AC-DC converters, perform worst‑case analyses, and guide verification tests from concept to production.

You will mentor engineers, manage a small power electronics team, and ensure designs meet SWaP-C and EMI requirements while coordinating with suppliers and test labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in analog and power electronics design.
• Experience with power architectures and SWAP-C trade studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of power system architectures and requirements.
• Design DC-DC and AC-DC power supplies and distribution systems (0.8 V to 400 V, up to 20 kW).
• Perform WCA, stress analysis, FMEA, and reliability analysis for power supplies.
