Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA support for plumbing systems on federal construction projects. The role involves reviewing installations for IPC/UFC compliance, conducting inspections, and offering recommendations throughout construction.

The ideal candidate has a valid plumbing license and at least 10 years of experience, with familiarity with federal DoD projects and the ability to obtain access to military installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical plumbing training is preferred.
• A valid Plumbing License is required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Strong knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience conducting inspections, acceptance testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
• Experience supporting federal, DoD, USACE, or military construction projects preferred.
• OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of IPC and UFC requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss project features and ensure success.
• Review plans and conduct hand reviews with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections across facilities.
• Inspect installations for compliance with documents and codes.
• Evaluate work practices and procedures for code compliance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to improve design, construction and plumbing features.
• Schedule final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Respond to RFIs and review scopes of work for field changes.
