Job summary

Accura Engineering in Fort Hood, Texas seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and quality assurance for plumbing systems on federal construction projects. You will review installations, evaluate code compliance with IPC and UFC, conduct inspections and testing, and support commissioning to ensure work meets contract requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma (technical plumbing training preferred), a valid plumbing license, 10 years of plumbing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical plumbing training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum of ten years in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing plans, shop drawings, and technical docs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of International Plumbing Codes and UFC.
• Attend meetings to discuss work features for project success.
• Perform plan reviews and apply lessons learned with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections and surveys for multiple facilities.
• Evaluate practices for compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and recommended corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on work practices, facility design, and plumbing features.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of newly installed plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and provide constructive comments.
• Respond to RFIs and review scopes for field changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
