Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX. The role reviews installations, tests, and ensures compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements, working with project managers, engineers, and government representatives.

Requires a high school diploma, a valid plumbing license, and 10+ years in plumbing installation or inspection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience with inspections, acceptance testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Review plumbing system installations for compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss work features and project success at every level.
• Perform reviews of plans and in-hand documents with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections across facilities (pre-, during, post-construction).
• Evaluate work practices to ensure compliance with codes and contract specs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to improve work practices, facility design, and plumbing features.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs for complete, acceptable documentation.
