Job summary
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Plumber Technician for Fort Hood, TX to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects.
The role ensures installations meet IPC, UFC, and contract requirements through testing and commissioning. The successful candidate will review plans, conduct inspections, prepare technical reports, and coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and government representatives to
Qualifications
- Must have strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret plumbing codes and project requirements.
- Experience coordinating with project teams and government representatives.
Responsibilities
- Establish understanding of IPC and UFC requirements.
- Attend meetings to discuss work features for project success.
- Perform plan in hand reviews and apply lessons learned.
- Schedule and conduct plumbing system inspections across facilities.
- Inspect work per approved documentation and contract requirements.
- Evaluate practices to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Provide guidance to improve work practices and designs.
- Schedule final acceptance tests for plumbing systems.
- Review submittals and RFIs for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with field changes and scope reviews.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
