Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The role reviews installations for IPC and UFC compliance and coordinates testing and reporting. You will work with project managers, engineers, and government representatives to ensure systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned per project specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid plumbing license is required.
• Minimum of ten years of plumbing installation and inspection experience.
• Experience with IPC, UFC, and federal standards is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of International Plumbing Codes and UFC.
• Attend meetings to discuss related features of work.
• Perform plan-in-hand reviews with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections of facilities.
• Perform inspections in compliance with approved documentation.
• Evaluate work practices to ensure compliance with codes.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on changes to practices and design.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs with comments.
