Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Plumber Technician for federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX. The role involves technical oversight, inspections, and QA of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements.

Must be a US citizen and able to pass a federal background and drug screen. The successful candidate will review installations, conduct tests, prepare detailed reports, and provide guidance on design and construction

Qualifications

• Strong communication, technical writing and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Ten years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of IPC and UFC requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss related features of work for project success.
• Perform plan in hand reviews and apply lessons learned.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing systems inspections across facilities (pre-, during, post-construction).
• Inspect in compliance with approved documentation and contract requirements.
• Evaluate work practices to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Provide guidance to improve work practices and designs.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs for scope changes.
