Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Plumber Technician to provide oversight, inspection, and QA support for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The successful candidate will review installations, assess compliance with IPC and UFC, conduct inspections and testing, and advise on technical improvements throughout the construction process. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid plumbing license, and at least ten

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical plumbing training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• 10+ years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Review plumbing system installations for compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements.
• Attend meetings with project managers, engineers, contractors, and government representatives.
• Perform inspections and testing of plumbing systems during all project phases.
• Prepare technical reports with corrective actions for deficient conditions.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of newly installed plumbing systems.
• Respond to RFIs and review scopes of work for field changes.
