Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Lead Designer for a senior role in Pasadena, TX. You will supervise a team of designers, deliver mechanical and piping projects on time, and serve as a technical specialist for complex assignments.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years of relevant experience, an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, and SPED certification preferred. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Knowledge of piping materials, supports, and design criteria.
• Ability to develop installation specifications and construction cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct a design team to deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Draft P&ID’s and GA’s, and verify calculations for conformance to codes.
