Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Leadman to provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to craft workers, assisting Foreman, while operating as a journeyman in the field.

You will lay out and install piping systems, ensure proper material selection, inspect sites, plan sequences, weld, test for leaks, and support safety and maintenance activities on HVAC and process lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in piping or related field.
• Works under immediate supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping systems and related equipment for steam, hot water and process systems.
• Selects type and size of pipe and fittings according to job specifications.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plans installation to avoid conflicts with other workers.
• Cuts, threads and bends pipe using manual and mechanical tools; mounts hangers and brackets.
• Welds pipe supports to structural members and tests piping systems for leaks.

Education
