Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced pipefitter lead to oversee crew activities, read isometric drawings, and manage installation and maintenance of piping systems across steam, HVAC, and process lines. Responsibilities emphasize safety, coordination, and timely execution on site.

The role requires strong knowledge of pipe fabrication, joints, and supports, plus the ability to plan work, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with all safety rules in a live industrial

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and piping layouts.
• Demonstrated planning, coordination, and delegation of tasks to crew members.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficient execution of work.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe types and sizes and related materials per job specs.
• Inspects worksite for obstructions and plans installation sequence accordingly.
• Cuts, threads, bends, and mounts pipe and supports.
• Assembles piping systems with appropriate joints and methods.
• Installs and maintains refrigeration/AC piping and controls.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and verifies repairs.
• Loads, transports, and positions materials and equipment.
• Ensures compliance with safety and project rules.
